Blogmas Day Eight // Christmas Music

I've been listening to Christmas music since November and I'm not even ashamed. I was just singing Christmas songs in the shower.
In fact, I'm listening to it right now.

Christmas music is the ultimate way to get in the festive spirit - there's probably some psychological reason to do with hearing and sound and emotion, but all I know is when those once-a-year tunes come creeping back out, brushing off the dust they're inevitably covered in (much like the boxes of endless decorations lurking my loft), I know it's time to GET MY CHRISTMAS ON.

(Just thought I'd put this here, in case you didn't know already.)

This my Christmas playlist on Spotify.
It's the first year I've had Spotify and I'm loving it! I like to think there's a good mix of music on there, something everyone will love at Christmas.

My favourite Christmas song has to be 'Last Christmas' by Wham! I love it, I love a lot of 80s music so that has a lot to do with it I reckon, and I LOVE the video, it's practically a Christmas film in its own right as far as I'm concerned aha.

Wham! is closely followed by Mariah Carey with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' because who doesn't love to belt that out imagining they could pull off  that Santa dress as well as Mariah...

The Michael Bublé album is a staple as well. Hearing his silky tones are like cosying up to a warm fire, YES PLEASE.

(This video is so cool because it's introduced by Michael Bublé himself, then proceeds to play the Christmas album while displaying a flickering log fire. Life. Made.)

New this year, I've developed a love for Ariana Grande (as mentioned in my #SliceOfLife), so I was positively delighted to find that she's done Christmas songs too! I like 'Santa Tell Me', it's vair catchy.

(This video is a bit odd. But. Christmas #SquadGoals and Christmas #OOTD are on point.)

I could wax lyrical (see what I did there?) about my love for Christmas music for pages and pages but I think I'll leave here. I hope you enjoy my selection of tinsel-adorned tunes!

What music do you love at Christmas?
