Today in the UK the new film Victor Frankenstein is released,
starring James McAvoy as the titular doctor and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant, Igor.
As a literature student I'm always interested to see book adaptation films, even though this is more of an "interpretation" because Igor isn't a character in Mary Shelley's novel, he's been created through the legend of the story over the years.
I probably won't get time to see this one in cinemas, but I've read some interesting and mixed reviews of it - not sure if this is making me want to see it more or less!
How do you feel about book adaptations? Are you sticklers for accuracy of the original story, or happy for experimentation and artistic licence?
